Dans une note en date du 9 novembre 2020, le ministre de l’intérieur, Audain Fils Bernadel, a fait savoir que le gouvernement, à travers le Conseil Supérieur de la Police Nationale, interdit formellement la circulation de véhicules, tous types confondus, sans plaques d’immatriculation sur la voie publique”.

Une mesure prise en vue de contribuer au renforcement de la situation sécuritaire et en particulier combattre les actes d’enlèvement contre rançon.

À cet effet, le Ministère de l’Intérieur et des Collectivités Territoriales (MICT) porte à la connaissance des propriétaires et chauffeurs d’automobiles, de motocyclettes et de véhicules à moteur généralement quelconque, que les forces de l’ordre sont instruites d’arrêter tout véhicule ou moto non muni de plaques d’immatriculation, indépendamment de leur propriété, ce, sur tout le territoire national et conformément aux prescrits des lois et règlements en vigueur sur l’immatriculation des véhicules.

Ces dispositions prennent effet dès parution de la note, a-t-il précisé.
